I am Punita Chaudhari working as Program Manager in Habitat For Humanity Nepal , belonging to Tharu ethnic group, has exposed to different layers of marginalization whereas this context help me to build my resilience and supported me to thrive for positive changes in thousands of other marginalized, girls and women lives.

In addition to this I have been managing programs which helped youths, women and girls from difficult circumstances through promoting their leadership, reconciliation capacity and economic portfolio countering GBV, Climate change impact and other socio-economic impact. While working in different agencies for instance Habitat for Humanity, Mercy Corps and LWF most of my programs were focused on addressing the socio economical causes of discrimination through Land Rights, Safe Shelter, Education, Climate Justice, Economic Empowerment and Human right.

While working in Girls Education Challenge program funded by UKaid, I got chance to showcase my skills for the reduction of GBV, enhance economic opportunities and ensure human right of girls and young women through program intervention, policy advocacy and building sustainable approach through local, provincial and local government engagement. In addition to this I was also responsible for overall coordination, create learning and sharing platform and transferring skills and knowledge to other stakeholders for instance government, NGO forum and private sectors.

Moving from awareness raising and knowledge building to transforaminal changes I have been very instrumental for designing and implementing Gender transformative programming in the context of development and humanitarian response i.e. Covid-19, Bhutanese Refugee and other natural disaster.
